I had a horrible migraine all day yesterday, so that's why I didn't get a chance to get on here and update. I'm feeling better though, so hopefully it stays that way. I'm not really sure what triggered the migraine. I think it honestly might be from my neck and back muscles that hurt like none other. My bed is kinda hard!
Anyways, I wanted to inform you all about the bicycles here in Japan.
This is my sweet bike that the school loaned me. And yes it has a basket! Sounds dumb, but seriously that thing comes in handy when you have to go to the grocery store and carry a few bags home. Biking is just so much faster than walking ya know! Anyways, the first picture on the left is a close up of the locks that bikes here use. Instead of messing around with chain and a padlock, there's this lever you pull back that locks the back tire. That way if someone tries to steal it, they can't because it won't move! They would literally have to pick up the bike and carry it away or try to break the lock. In order to ride the bike you just have to insert your key and push the lock open. Easy as one two three :)
